Workshop: Clinical Trials

Clinical trials provide the highest level of evidence in medical research but are at the same time are prone to several critical types of bias and misconduct. This workshop is aimed to serve as a primer for the design, classification, conduct, analysis and ethical aspects of clinical trials. The goal is to familiarize the audience with the essentials needed to be considered when designing a clinical trial.

Associate professor at Department of Medical Biotechnology, School of Medicine

Mashhad University of Medical Sciences

Adjunct title at the Metabolic Research Centre, University of Western Australia

Dr. Sahebkar received his Pharm.D and Ph.D (in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology) degrees from the Mashhad University of Medical Sciences (MUMS, Mashhad, Iran), and is currently serving as a faculty member at the Department of Medical Biotechnology (School of Medicine), and Biotechnology Research Center of MUMS, with an adjunct title at the Metabolic Research Centre, University of Western Australia (Perth, Australia). His main field of research is basic and clinical studies focused on novel therapeutic strategies directed against atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
