Synthesis of N-(2-Phenanthro[9,10]-Imidazole2-yl) BenzoSulfonamide in the presentof mezoporouse SBA-15 modified by Palladium nanoparticle M. Rajabia*, E.Fooladib, SM. Benzosulfonamides, a subclass of bicyclic sulphonamides, are found in numerous biologically active compounds, pharmaceuticals, as well as agricultural agents. One of the best methods for the synthesis of sulphonamides is the reaction of sulfonylchlorides with amines. The high rigidity of synthetic sulphonamides increased the possibility of using it as a drug. Moreover , the functional groups with good fluorescent properties improve performance in the drug delivery process. In this study, Pd-SBA-15 as a catalyst was synthesized and characterized by means of XRD, TEM, Inductivity Coupled Plasma, Nitrogen adsorption-desorption and FTIR spectroscopy. The Pd-SBA-15 was employed for synthesizing benzosulfonamides derivatives via nitro substitution reduction. The Pd nanoparticle immobilized on SBA-15, as an effective and reusable heterogeneous catalyst, can provide an environmentally friendly alternative for the heterogeneous synthesis of the benzosulphonamides derivatives under mild conditions. In the presence of the catalyst, sulphonamide derivatives including 2-[4-(4-nitro-benzensulfonyl)-phenyl]1hydrogen-phenanthro[9,10]imidazol and 2-[4-(4-methyle-benzenesulfonyl)-phenyl]1hydrogen-phenanthro[9,10]imidazol and 2-[4-(4-chloro-benzensulfonyl)-phenyl]1hydrogen-phenanthro[9,10]imidazol were synthesized. The chemical structure of synthesized compounds in each 3 stages were characterized by FT-IR and HNMR analyses.
