Chitosan based hydrogels has been explored for biomedical applications due to their physiochemical properties, biocompatibility, and biodegradability. The applications of these polymeric hydrogels was limited because of their poor mechanical properties. In this study the chitosan/gelatin hybrid hydrogels were prepared without any chemical crosslinking agents with different weight ratio of synthetized graphene oxide in order to increasing physical interactions. The morphology of lyophilized hydrogels was analyzed using scanning electron microscopy and compressive mechanical properties was investigated. The scanning electron microscopy images revealed that with increasing graphene oxide contents increased crosslinking. Also, the improvement of mechanical properties was observed due to the higher amounts of graphene oxide.
