Production of nanoparticles by chemical methods has disadvantages such as solution instability, non-uniform size of nanoparticles, impurity of nanoparticles and the need for advanced production equipment. Synthesis of green nanoparticles using plant extracts with many advantages such as lower cost, environmental friendliness and the possibility of easy large-scale production, are a good alternative to biological methods.This research is a report on the phytosynthesis of gold nanoparticles using Maclura pumifera leaf extract. First, 2 ml of American mulberry leaf extract was added to 4 ml of gold salt (HAuCl4.3H2O) to obtain nanoparticles and change the color of the solution to purple.To achieve gold nanoparticles with uniform shape and size, the parameters affecting the synthesis, such as gold salt concentration optimized by ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry.To study the shape and size of the synthesized nanoparticles, a transmission electron microscope was used and to investigate the effective groups in the synthesis of gold nanoparticles, an infrared Fourier transform was used. Finally, gold nanoparticles were synthesized in nano sizes and shape.,
