Today, much research has been focused on the development of novel methods for cancer treatment, the environmentally sustainable disposal of chemical waste and the purification of polluted areas. Metal oxide nanoparticles offer a promising prospect for solving these problems. Among them, SnO2 nanoparticles has received considerable attention as inexpensive and readily available photodynamic and photocatalyst agents for the oxidative degradation of cancerous cells and organic pollutants. In this paper, SnO2 nanoparticles were synthesized by green method as a partly cheap method with using starting material available in nature and without using any reagents. The synthesized material was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM). The results confirmed formation of cubic SnO2 nanoparticles in tetragonal phase. The average crystallite size, specific surface area (SSA), and average particle size of approximately 50 nm, 17 m2/gr, and 135 nm were successfully obtained by biosynthesis method.
