In this study, Selenium Nanorods (Se-NRs) were synthesized through a green chemistry method that involved the usage of sodium selenite salt (Na2SeO3) as the source of selenium, as well as Chitosan (CS) in the role of stabilizer and ascorbic acid as the reducing agent. The Se-NRs were identified by the application of UV-Vis spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM). TEM images express their morphology and diameter of Se-nanorods. Furthermore, we investigated the photocatalytic activity of nanorods on Rhodamine B (RhB) dye degradation under UVA light. In conformity to the outcomes, Se-NRs contains great potential for functioning as an effective photocatalyst for eliminating water pollution.
