The carbon quantum dots (CQDs) as a nanomaterial has special properties in the fields of photocatalytic, electrocatalytic, biomedical imaging, and nanomedicine. In this procedure, CQDs were synthesized for the quantification of drugs and cells in the aqueous media and human serum. In this study, CQDs were synthesized from bell pepper by the hydrothermal method. Moreover, CDs was employed for imaging of prostate cancer cell line (PC-3). Optical characterization of CQDs was surveyed by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), and Dynamic light scattering (DLS). An investigation by florescent imaging showed that CQDs could use to live-cell prob. We introduce a simple, green, economical, and eco-friendly synthetic method to design a sensor-based on CQDs. The green-synthesized CQDs can be introduced as promising alternative fluorescent material of other toxic QDs and dyes in imaging and visualizing.
