Introduction: Biosynthesis nanoparticles as a novel method with a simple, biocompatible, safe and cost-effective approach can replace chemical and physical methods. Nanoparticles with a size of 1 to 100 nm have unique chemical and physical quantum properties. Recently, the problems of drug resistance have been seen in different species of fungi. Candida and Aspergillus fungi can act as opportunistic human pathogens in Immune system defect or suppressed immune system in individuals. Silver and Selenium nanoparticles are substances in which antifungal properties have been reported. Methods: Selenium and silver nanoparticles were biosynthesized with the help of Nepeta and Berberine plant extracts with a specific concentration of 170 ppm, respectively. The presence of nanoparticles was confirmed by methods such as UV-vis spectroscopy, FT-IR analysis, and FESEM electron microscope, which includes SEM and EDX diagram. Then, using the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) method, the sensitivity test was performed on fungal species' leachates using Duplicate. Result: Biosynthesized silver and selenium nanoparticles at concentrations of 1 µg/ml and below caused no growth of fungal agents. However, antifungal drugs at concentrations higher than 1 µg/ml and even up to 64 µg/ml inhibited the growth of these drug-resistant fungi. Conclusion: Comparison of the results showed that even these nanoparticles in some cases have a better effect than the group of antifungal drugs. Due to the increasing drug resistance of opportunistic and pathogenic microorganisms to target drugs, the use of biosynthesized nanoparticles is more convenient and economical.
