This study introduces a screening technique for designing the new mutant aptamers by using theoretical method for the detection of tetracycline. First, an aptamer with appropriate properties was selected among the aptamers introduced by using the SELEX method for the diagnosis of tetracycline; then, mutants were designed by changing the nucleotides of the selected aptamer by using MD simulation. The binding affinity of the designed mutants toward tetracycline was investigated by theoretical methods and, the MD results showed that the M7C and M7A mutants have more binding affinity compared to the native aptamer. Following this approach, it was found that the binding energy (Gbind) can be considered as the appropriate factor to introduce new aptamers.
