Morphine is one of the most widely used drugs in the world, and its timely and accurate identification is of particular importance. This research work presents a new and simple colorimetric method for sensitive and visual detection of morphine (MOR) in urine using silver nanoparticles. The bonding interactions between the nanosensor and morphine cause AgNPs to accumulate, resulting in a color change from yellow to black, which can be detected by the naked eye. To evaluate the LOD level and quantitative measurement of morphine, different concentrations of morphine were prepared and analyzed with a synthesized nanosensor. The structure and properties of nanosensors were investigated using XRD, UV-VIS, TEM analyzes. The assay exhibits rapid responses towards MOR in both aqueous solution and complicated biological environments such as human urine, demonstrating its promises as a powerful tool for specific and sensitive MOR detection in-field.
