In this study, titanium oxide nanoparticle doped with strontium impurity was synthesized by co-precipitation method and was investigated its capability to use in cancer treatment by photodynamic therapy. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis was used to study the structure of synthesized nanoparticles. The size of the crystals was estimated 23 nm using the Debye-Scherrer formula. For the morphology of the nanoparticles, scanning electron microscope (SEM) was utilized. The optical properties of nanoparticles were investigated by using photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. After excitation with the wavelength of 450 nm, photoluminescence spectroscopy confirmed the PL emission peak at 600 nm for the prepared nanoparticles. Anthracene and methylene blue detectors were used to detect of singlet oxygen and free radicals, respectively
